Wendy had to go to a breakfast appointment early so I slept
in till about 9:00am, which is the latest I've slept for years. Didn't
feel like going out in the rain so just did my exercises, some washing and
relaxed for a while. Didn't need breakfast as I was still full from all
the snacks at the Officers’ Mess the previous night.
Eventually I went for a walk to find a bike box for the trip
home. Found a bike shop that said they would have a box after trying two
others without any luck. But I had to go
back after a couple of hours. Headed back in towards the motel and got a
text from Wendy to say she was going back to change for tonight. So, I went
back to the motel to spend some time with her. Shortly afterwards Wendy
left for the conference.
I then went and picked up the bike box which was huge.
I like just riding around in the trams so after a nice roast chicken and
salad at V&D, (like Myers) that is what I did for a few hours. Saw the
outskirts of Amsterdam
