DAY 34: TUE 25 SEP - ROTTERDAM

Ride: 40km; total: 1,585km
Scatted clouds, sunny patches, windy and cool, 8-15deg

Nice breakfast of eggs, bacon, little sausages, yoghurt and fresh fruit.  It was certainly a nice spread.

A look around the route out to The Hague for the next day found a close-by well signed smooth bike path, a normal situation for Holland.  I then went riding with my new bike map.   The whole of Holland has a system of numbered points (intersections) which are signed between each point.  If you are heading anywhere you just note the numbers that you need to hit and head off.  So easy to get around even though you have never been that way prior.  This system is all over the country and the majority of bike paths are separate to the traffic.  Did about 40km in the morning finishing up with a nice coffee (for me) at McDonalds.  I can go to Maccas now Graham has gone, he is not a fan of that coffee at all.  It is very milky and a even a bit weak for me sometimes so I understand.

Did the Architecture Museum in the afternoon, I have been very impressed with Dutch architecture.  They are not afraid to be adventurous.

Chicken and salad for dinner.  Watched a couple of auction shows on the BBC and sorted out maps and gear for my departure in the morning.

Cheese please!
